The Caliburn is a reference-level turntable from Continuum Audio Labs, an Australian engineering outfit built around the idea that a record player's job is to disappear entirely, leaving nothing but the groove's information. Its massively over-engineered plinth, magnetic bearing, and isolation scheme were designed to chase down mechanical noise and resonance to an obsessive degree, making it one of the most expensive and painstakingly built turntables ever produced. It's aimed squarely at analog purists and collectors for whom cost is secondary to achieving the lowest possible noise floor and the most stable, unwavering platter speed.
