The Antares was one of Rockport's earlier statement designs from the late '90s, representing founder Andy Payor's pursuit of extremely inert, mass-loaded cabinets to eliminate audible box resonance. It's a three-way floorstander aimed at collectors and long-time audiophiles who value the brand's early design language before later refinements like beryllium tweeters became standard. As a discontinued model, it now mostly circulates in the used high-end market for enthusiasts chasing vintage Rockport character.
